I’m Dave Salvatore, a chef and food photographer in Drexel Hill, PA. My friends gave me the nickname ‘Augie’ in my second year at the CIA because every time a food question came up, I’d usually mention Escoffier.
I got my first kitchen job at 15 in my tiny home town and have been cooking ever since. The CIA in Hyde Park, an incredible NY Times 3 star chef in my home state of NJ named Bob Long, the Michelin 2 star Hôtel de France in Gascony, a stage at the 3 Michelin star Georges Blanc in Vonnas and an incredible little luxury hotel called the Sherman House in San Francisco where I was the sous chef. Back when the Zagat guide rated restaurants on a scale of 1-30, I received a 28 at the Evermay on the Delaware in Bucks county. I’ve cooked for Hollywood elites in luxury dining rooms, events for 5,000 on an Ivy League campus and almost everything in-between. Now, I don’t want the long hours and constant stress anymore. Being a personal chef allows me to share my skills with people in a personal setting, and I genuinely enjoy making people happy with nourishing, healthy and delicious natural cooking. Let’s make the family dining room your favorite restaurant.
